On Tuesday 19th March, the choir had a fantastic experience of singing alongside 4000 students from the south-east of the UK. They spent a few months preparing the songs and actions and it was incredible hearing all the voices singing as one.

The event told the story of Moses and the exodus out of Egypt through music by the All Souls Orchestra as well as dance and acting. All the students thoroughly enjoyed it and the adults even got a tad teary during Amazing Grace!

We had a great time last week raising money for Comic Relief! The cake sale was a great success – thank you to everyone who donated or bought cakes. We have some very talented bakers in school! The children loved taking part in the danceathon – it was great fun! We raised over £300, so thank you all very much for your generosity.

Year 6 visited the Wallace Collection and took part in a workshop about circles. They looked at shields and identified different types of angles that they could see. They then designed and made their own circular shield using what they had learnt.

Thank you to everyone for dressing up in their pyjamas for World Book Day. We had a very difficult job choosing the winners, but here they are with their prizes!

We have loved celebrating all things book-related this week! We have been welcoming a Mystery Reader into each class each day; stopping whatever we were doing and grabbing a book for ‘Drop Everything and Read’; swapping our World Book Day vouchers for a free book at Daunt bookshop; sharing books with our parents on Thursday afternoon and wearing our pyjamas to school! It really has been a fantastic week.

A special thank you goes to Mr Knight for organising it all, and to the parents and carers who have supported us by sharing stories, customising pyjamas and most importantly, inspiring a love of reading in our children.
